Worship starts at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. We have Bible Study at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday evenings. Our Youth Group, "Chalice Youth", meets after worship on the second and fourth Sundays of each month, as well as at 6:00 p.m. each Wednesday. First Church of God

The First Church of God is a place to begin, believe, belong, and become. Through connection with other Christians, we encourage spiritual growth and provide mutual support. Additionally, it is our desire to spread the message of the Gospel through the love of Jesus. We accomplish that by partnering with numerous community organizations, including the MAPV. The Great Commission compels us to tell others about Jesus’ sacrifice and invite them into personal relationship with him. We believe in community and connection, so we would love for you to join us anytime. Our services are Sundays at 10:30 am, and Wednesdays at 6:30 pm.

3 Churches Host Ash Wenesday at the FUMC

Each year, the First Christian Church, the First United Methodist Church, and the First Presbyterian Church gather together for the special worship services around Lent and Holy Week. The first of these is Ash Wednesday, which is February 14th (yes, Valentine's Day) this year. All three pastors, Angie Flemming from FUMC, Elaine Howsley from FCC, and Chas Gowing from FPC will participate in the service.

The First United Methodist Church, as hosts, would be pleased to have anyone from these three churches, but also friends from the larger community, to come and worship with us and receive an imposition of ashes on Ash Wednesday, February 14th, at 7:00pm. Invite friends!

In addition, the Methodist church will be open from 11:30 to 1:00 and from 5:00 to 6:30 for the imposition of ashes. If you cannot make the worship service stop by for this individual devotional practice.

Also this year, the First Christian Church will host Maundy Thursday and the First Presbyterian Church will host Good Friday.

Save these dates and look for more details to come:

  • Maundy Thursday, March 28th, at the First Christian Church
  • Good Friday, March 29th, at the First Presbyterian Church
