Several Ministerial Alliance churches are celebrating Holy Week in a variety of ways:
- Palm Sunday, March 29: First Presbyterian Church of Pauls Valley invites you to join a cheerring, chanting, dizzy crowd on Palm Sunday at our regular 11:00am worship service. We start with a children's parade waving palms, but then we turn to anticipate the events of Holy Week.
- Maundy Thursday, April 2: First Christian Church, First Presbyterian Church, and First United Methodist Church are joining together to host a Community Maundy Thursday service focused on the last supper. The service will be held at the First United Methodist Church at 6:00pm on Thursday, April 2.
- Good Friday, April 3: Trinity Baptist Church is opening its sanctuary to the community from noon to 3:00pm for personal prayer and reflection.
First Christian Church, First Presbyterian Church, and First United Methodist Church are also hosting a Community Good Friday service focused on the cross. This service will feature darkness, a stripping of the sanctuary, and solemn reproaches. The service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at 6:00pm on Friday, April 3.
Trinity Baptist Church will also be holding a Good Friday service on Friday, April 3 at 6:00pm. This service will feature Haley Hanzel, violinist. Communion will be served. - Easter Sunday, April 5: Each our churches would love to welcome you to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord at their regular Sunday worship service.
