Christian Life Pentecostal Church is putting on an event at Wacker Park on Monday, September 28, at 6:00pm. In cooperation with the Gideons and the Rotary club of Pauls Valley, they wil be giving away Bibles and grilling burgers for the taking. The First Church of God has a crafting community called "Created: A Faith Filled Creative Community." The next Crafting Party will be Tuesday, Septtember 1, at 6:00pm at the First Church of God.
This Tuesday's party sounds like lots of fun: Self portraits and Buddy portraits! Be sure to bring a buddy who you want to draw (and who's willing to draw you!).

It's always sgood to meet and worship God together with other Christians. On Sunday, August 30, at 6:00pm, Christian brothers and sisters from across Pauls Valley will gather at Christian Life Church to sign and pray and worship God and share in Fellowship. We hope to see you there.
The First Church of God is starting an artsy crafting group called "Created: A Faith-filled creative community." They will meet every two weeks, with activitiesalready planned through December. Crafting activities are designed for ages 4 through 18.
The first crafting party will be Tuesday, August 18, meeting at 6:00pm at the First Church of God where they will be decorating personal journals. Then they will meet every other Tuesday at 6:00pm to "Create, Connect, and Have Fun!"

This Saturday, August 15, from 11:00am to 2:00pm, the First Church of God will hold a fun Back to SChool Bash. There will be hot dogs and school supply giveaways, but the most fun will be the "paint wars." Participants will be given a white t-short with a cross on the front in painter's tape. Then they will shoot each other with thinly colored (tempra paint) water guns! Tshirts will be provided. Peel the painter's tape off to reveal a brightly colored splatter shadow othe cross. Their motto is "Get splattered, Get connected, Get Ready for school!

On Fifth Sundays, the churches of the Ministerial Alliance of Pauls Valley come together to share a time of worship and prayer. On Sunday, May 31, we will gather at 6:00pm at at the First Christian Church of Pauls Valley. Stay afterward for fellowship and snacks.
Spread the word! The Ministerial Alliance supports Trinity Baptist Church and The House in bringing our community together on Thursday night, May 7th for "Pauls Valley Strong: A Night of Worship, Prayer, and Gratitude." Thursday, May 7th is the National Day of Prayer and it will also mark exactly one month from the incident at Pauls Valley High School. Our churches want to bring the PV community together to thank God for His protection and to say with one voice, "We want to be a people of reconciliation and not violence!"

Several Ministerial Alliance churches are celebrating Holy Week in a variety of ways:
Each year the Ministerial Alliance partners with the City of Pauls Valley to sponsor the city-wide Easter egg hunt in Wacker Park. This year, the hunt will be held on Saturday, Marchc 28. The City, the FOP, and Ministerial Alliance Churches are providing the thousands of stuffed plastic eggs and prize baskets.
Volunteers should show up between 8:30am and 9:00am to help set up. The start time is 10:30am, but kids generally line up at the starting line ahead of that. Prizes are awarded at 10:45am. The Ministerial Alliance, with support from First United Bank, will serve hot dogs at 11:00am.
One of the joys of Christianity is worshipping together. In the Ministerial Alliance, we try to make a habit of worshipping together everytime there is a fifth Sunday in the month. This month, though, the fifth Sunday is Palm Sunday, and we acknowledge that each of our congregations might have special things going on, OR they might be recovering from a lot of work to put on a special event. SO: This month, the Ministerial Alliance is moving its Gathering worship service tothe fourth Sunday.
The March Ministerial Alliance Gather will be held on Sunday, March 22nd at 6:00pm at the Pauls Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church. Come worship with sisters and brothers, and linger in Christian fellowship afterwards.

Each year, the First Christian Church, the First Presbyterian Church, and the First United Methodist Church join together to put on community worship services for Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. This year, the services will follow this schedule:

The First United Methodist Church invites you to join them for their annual Groundhog Breakfast. In anticipation of Groundhog's Day, the breakfast will be held Saturday, January 31, from 7:00am to noon in their Fellowship Hall. Donations will be collected to help fund their youth programs.
The First Church of God invites you to a Youth Pancake Breakfast on Monday, January 19, from 8:00am to noon. The cost for Adults is $7.00 and Children are $3.00.

The Ministerial Alliance of Pauls Valley gathers at a Community Thanksgiving worship service on the Sunday evening before Thanksgiving every year.
Of all the Ministerial Alliance worship services throughout the year, this is the only one where we take up an offering. This year, the Ministerial Alliance ahs decided to donate all monies collected at the Community Thanksgiving Service to the Samaritan Food Pantry.

"M.A.Y." stands for the Ministerial Alliance Youth Fund. Sometimes it can be confusing because the M.A.Y. Fund program has activity in the months of both December and May. In both cases, Ministerial Alliance churches take up a collection to fund the activities. The biggest activity is a scholarship given to a few Pauls Valley graduating high school seniors awarded as a part of graduation in May. Read more about the M.A.Y. fund here.
In December, the M.A.Y. fund is used to be sure high school kids with unstable housing get a Christmas present. While there aren't many, several Pauls Valley high school kids have no home to live in with their family; they end up couch"-surfing" at relatives' or friends' houses. We respect their privacy and give these gifts through the high school counselors' office, so we don't even know who receives these gifts.
The M.A.Y. Fund Christmas gift is given in early December, so look for your local church to collect money for this in November. If you don't have a church home and still want to give, contact any of the Ministerial Alliance churches.
